A Little Bit Adult.

I created this card for my BIL's girlfriend when she turned 50.  I  have been saving it for just the right challenge, and I do believe I found it.  You just have to laugh.  It is simple and to the point.

I will be entering this over at Shopping Our Stash #322, Called "Not Your Momma's Card".  Now this is fun!

     Here is what I used:

Card stock and designer paper from my stash...  The WTF stamp set borrowed from a friend.  She said it was from Casual Fridays.  The inside sentiment is a combo of 2 stamps... and the first I found in the depths of my stamp bin....it is by Creative Clear Stamps CV0039, Feeling Old, and the second (happy birthday) is from Clear Dollar Stamps, which went out of business.  Oh wait, my flower on the front is a Prima.  I know this was not real helpful, but old age is setting in.

Okay, Darnell... do I dare.  Yes I shall enter this at her NBUS #12.  It is plain and simply to the point.  Snark, snark!

     Have a fantastic weekend!

TMS #422 and A Little NBUS

Okay, okay so it has again been a long time.  Well, life gets so complicated sometimes.  Work has been long and we are working with a short crew.  DH has been nursing another bout of skin cancer, and how is it possible that we have heat in the 90's at the end of September.

This is actually my second try at this challenge.  Yep, #2.  I decided to have a redo with this pretty sketch.

I used a paper pad that I have had for ages and never touched.  Oh yes, we have plenty of that going on around here.  The paper pad is an 8x8 by DCWV and is called their Crafty Stack.  I used stitched circle dies from Gina Marie Designs, as well as stitched triangles.  I cut a swirl from the SU set called Swirly Scribbles Thinlets.  My sentiment was white heat embossed from a new stamp set that was included in my Creative Stamping Magazine from the UK.  That is from L'aquavelle Designs.  I cut a few leaves  from the dp and added them to my swirl, along with a blue pearl.

I would like to share this for the Tuesday Morning Sketch #422.

Also, this has some NBUS  included, so I would like to take this over to Darnell's New NBUS  #12 Challenge.

Well, It was sure good to see everyone.  Thanks for stopping around!

An Awesome Sketch.

This is one of those great sketches that can be used for so many things.  Whether you are stamping your own background, or using a digital image as the focal point, it works awesome.

Today I would like to share this card at Tuesday Morning Sketches # 420.

I used mostly scraps from my bin, for the paper and card.  My snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch, and my Christmas circle was purchased from Ebay. The embossed panel is from a Cuttlebug folder.  I coated the letters with 3D Crystal lacquer and added touches of Diamond Stickles for sparkle.  Easy peasy, and cheerful.

Thanks for stopping by... see you again, real soon!

Batty!

Here is a card that I whipped up for the Tuesday Morning Sketches # 419, this week.  I guess I am into the Fall/Halloween colors right now.  There has been a definite chill in the air and it has been heavenly!

This card uses the adorable bat and sentiment are from the My Favorite Things set called Witch Way Is the Candy.  I used assorted card stocks and designer paper from Bo Bunny Apple Cider Collection. I stamped with Fresh Fig ink from SU!, and added some colored pencil and white gel pen accents to my bats.  He also has Glossy Accent eyes.  I added some fun Fall fibers with a hemp bow, sequins, and some embossing to a punched heart.

That is it for now.  Praying for family and friends that are in harms way, and praying for a positive outcome.

Crazy Cat

As we prepare for 3 very important holidays, I would like to share a card that I created for Halloween.  I remember when these TH cat, dog, and bird stamps hit the scene.  I had to have them all, plus their accessories!  They are awesome and I must say, make some very versatile cards!

Today I would like to share this card for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  It is during their STAMPtember celebration, so there are no digital images allowed.  You must stamp.

This card starts with a white base and then a panel that is stenciled using a Tim Holtz Shatter stencil, which I borrowed from a friend.  I sponged it with some Peach Parfait ink, and added 2 bands of Lil B washi tape.  I acquired a punch that punches out 3 tiny bats, (sorry no marking), and applied them to the sky.  My cat and broom were colored with Copic marker and fussy cut.  Glossy accents were added to his eyes for a bit of dimension.

Thanks for visiting!  May all those who are in the paths of these violent hurricanes find strength to do all the right things.  Praying for each and every person, plus their critters, to be safe.
