Anything Goes

Today I have a card created for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge, which is Anything Goes.  They are featuring Avery Elle products, and since I only have one of their sets, I am happy to use it.

     Here is what was used:

Card base- Neenah Solar White
Kraft card- Recollections
Designer paper- lavender gingham from my scrap bin
Stamps- Avery Elle, Circle It set, and SU! Flower Shop stamps with coordinating punch
Inks- Distress Ink in Rusty Hinge, Dusty Concord, and Cracked Pistachio
Twine- DoCraft
Sequins- leaves and discs, unknown
Stencil-  Old school wall stencil from the 90's

Here is the Avery Elle set I used.

I had a couple requests for a new photo of my dear Della, so here goes!  If there are that many toys in that tiny area she is standing in, do you think she has enough?

It's That Time!

The calendar says it's Friday, and Friday means Friends with Flair!  Can you believe it is almost June?  For those experiencing bad weather, my heart goes out to you.  Sending up prayers.  Last week was just a blur, and not much creative time.  I do however, have this card which I created during the week, for a dear person fighting a personal battle.  I hope you like.

Since I am always looking for a reason to watercolor lately, I decided to try out my new Spectrum Aqua pens, by creating this flag on wc paper.  I did not want to waste it, so I cut it down, added my Unity sentiment, and stars, punched random holes, and mounted it on patriotic striped designer paper.  The ribbon and corner slide were both in Unity gift envelopes I have received from ordering.

Since I was busy being a crazy woman during my GS's party, I did not get any good pics of him blowing candles.  I am sure there are some, but they just have not gotten to me yet.  I will leave you with a picture of the cake, which was a big hit!  He just loves The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Everywhere She Looked

Today I am sharing a card using one of my newer Unity sentiment sets called " Another Reason to Say Thank You"!  I used kraft, black, and a random piece of dark salmon card that I found in my scrap box..  I cut my silhouette flowers with a Spellbinder die called Floral Border.  My top row of 3D flowers was done by punching, and doubling flowers from my SU Itty Bitty Accents punch.  Little KI gems were added as accents.  They were placed over a strip of watercolor washi tape.

I would like to share this as my Friends with Flair post for this week.

We are hosting the PA version of my Grandson's 2nd Birthday party this weekend.  The theme is based from one of his favorite books.  Any guesses?  Here is a hint.........

Have a great holiday weekend, and keep it safe!

Monochromatic Flair!

Can you believe how this week zoomed by?  I want to start for not getting around for many comments last weekend.  My GS came to visit for Mother's Day.  Hope everyone had a good one!

Today I have a card for Friends with Flair, using the May 2015, KOM from Unity.  I have not made a monochromatic card in some time, so I went for it.  Each stamp in this kit is prettier than the next, so I ended up using 3 of them.  My card stocks are Sweet Corn from Gina K., and Neenah Solar White.  I stamped in Hello Honey ink from SU!  My embellishment are some simple pearls and gold sequins.

Thanks so much for stopping around, and I hope to do better this weekend visiting each of you.

A Color Challenge

Here we are, with another week almost behind us.  I found a few extra minutes to play this week in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.  This week it is a color challenge.  It is called the Inspiration Color Swatch.

When I saw the soft pretty colors, I went digging in my stash of card stock bits, and that is what I use.  I did use one sheet of Authentique paper from the Grace collection.  My garden lattice die is from Poppy Stamps, and the little flowers were punched with a SU bitty Accents punch.  I added MS leaves, and blue pearl centers from Michaels.  The stamp set I used is from Avery Elle, called Circle It.  My pink panel was embossed with a Sizzix Decorative Dots folder.  I needed something for the middle, so I made a paper diploma, and tie it up with some mint satin ribbon.

I would also like to enter my card over at Pixie's Snippets Playground # 175 & #176, since I used lots of bits to bring this together.

Thanks for visiting, and have a great start to your weekend!

Friends with Flair!

Today my card for Friends with Flair, was created using lots of scraps from my stash, and my Unity KOM from February 2015.  My base is kraft.  The designer papers are unknown.  I stamped directly on the dp, and colored with Copic markers, to add a more muted feel.  I then outlined my image with a chalk marker to make it pop.  The file tab is chipboard, and sequins and pearls were added as embellishments.

Since this is Mother's Day weekend, I hope you are all feeling beautiful, just as the card states!  Thanks for visiting, and many blessings.

Ever get an Idea......

..... and you just can't let it go?  That is what happened with this card.  I saw this pretty designer paper from Crate Paper, and all I could think about was something dark and striking against it.  I think it worked, how about you?

Here is what I used:

Neenah 110# Solar White base, my layer of pretty Crate Paper, some white scraps and basic black Bazzill scraps.  My tiny flowers are a scrap of K&Co.

I started with a scalloped oval from SB, topped it with another SB die called Die D-Lites Framed Floral, My bunny dies from Impression Obsession, and punched flowers from SU! Bitty Accents.

The oval was sponged with Pistachio Memento, and pierced.  My sentiment is from Unity's April KOM.  For embellishments I used pink and black gems from KI, and a bakers twine bow.

I am glad you stopped by so I could share.

A Little Kindness

Don't you just love when you find a new stamp set that melts your heart.  I ordered these new Newton's Nook Delightful Doxie stamps, the day they were released!  Eek!  I just had to have these sweet little pups, and it had nothing to do with my new puppy (wink).

Most of what I used were just bits from my stash.  There is ivory card, and a sweet little print of designer paper.  I paper pieced my kite, added clouds with my Memory Box cloud die, and sponged my sky.  One lonely gem was added as an accent to my sentiment.  Coloring was done with Copic.

By Request....

Here is a picture of our new puppy, Della.  Many of you asked for an updated photo, yesterday.  On Monday she will be turning 13 weeks old.  She is one spunky little lady, and wants to run and play with the big dog.  She actually stole this bone right out of our 90 lb. Lab, Jessie's mouth.  Let's just say life has been quite interesting.  I think she is actually learning her name, and knows to go to the kitchen rug for a treat, when she comes in from outside.  Della loves the warm sunshine, where she just rolls and rolls in the grass.  She refuses to potty in the rain, which can get a little complicated.  Toys are her favorite, and the ones with squeakers are the best.  She is over 5 lb. now, and I guess we will see what her next weight will be, this week.

That is it for now, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

A Bit of Watercolor!

Happy Friday, friends!  Not much creating time, this week, but I did squeeze in a go at my April KOM from Unity Stamps.  I colored my stamps with Marvy markers, and then got my water brush busy, on some watercolor paper.  I love the softness, and then you can go back with the fine point and add a few details.

I found a soft watercolor looking scrap in my stash to add a coordinating border.  My embellishments are handmade crinkle ribbon, bakers twine, and some tiny gems from KI.

I would like to link this up for the following:

Hoping it is feeling more like Spring for everyone now.  The new puppy, Della, is keeping me on my toes, and as mini as she is, she is growing like a weed.  The verdict is still out on whether she and our Black Lab, Jessie, will become good buddies, but they are trying.  Have a great week ahead, and I appreciate the visit.
